The 14-piece band recalls classic funk groups like Funkadelic and Sly and the Family Stone while maintaining an energy all their own that throws audiences into a frenzy. But unlike most groups who aim for the classic 70s sound, Stymie & The Pimp Jones Luv Orchestra plays no covers; instead incorporating elements of rock, jazz, hip-hop, pop, reggae, Latin, and gospel, into soulful, socially conscious originals.
